To the best of my knowledge Shrapnel is unaffected, but whether it is or not, it's ineffective as a DPS ammo anyways and should only be used on HR Rampages and small monsters.

If youre running HBG pierce with namielle you should try the kjarr elemental HBGs. Not tried it myself but elemental boost plus namielle 2 piece might be tasty.
