Glenfield 30a vs marlin 336.

Mar 12, 2020 · Hi fellas, first post here. I’ve wanted a Marlin lever gun for quite some time now. Still don’t have it though. 😐 My LGS has a Glenfield 30A on the shelf. It’s a 1968 vintage. Metal is pretty good, but clearly been used. Most of the flathead screws are somewhat boogered up, not terrible, but not like new. Action is very slick. GLENFIELD - THE MARLIN FIREARMS CO. Are the new ones built just as good as the old ones?The Glenfield 25 is from 1978 and uses the old style of magazine with the release lever built into it. The magazine clips onto a metal piece up inside the mag well. The Marlin 25N is from 1995 and uses the newer style magazine. Like they said $200 is a far price for one in excellent condition. $2600, must have been looking a something else. 100% blue book of gun values is $220.
